Timoteo Paez High school will be having its newest four storey Home Economics building amounting to P37,197,779.75 by the year 2019 as part of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s Build, build, build project .
According to Mr. Rodrigo G. Natividad, principal, they chose the Home Economics building because of its dilapidated structure. Also, to add more classrooms in the school as the building will be used by the Home Economics department and Senior High school students.
The four storey building as planned were originally have 12 classrooms but due to limited space, Mr. Natividad requested to have 10 classroom as the first floor will be having one classroom, an open space and a canteen. The second and third floor which consists of three rooms each will be occupied by junior high school and the fourth floor will be occupied by senior high students.
Mr. Natividad also said that the building will be finished in approximately 10-12 months if the construction will be continuous and without any delays. However, they are still waiting for the go-signal of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to start the construction.
Meanwhile, there is also an upcoming project of new four-storey building of T.L.E department that will be composed of 32 rooms.
